The Diabetes Group uses an unconventional approach, built on core competence, and keeps pace with advancements in technology to identify molecules that would translate into future drugs.

The team has developed a variety of cellular and animal models that mirror the defects in uncontrolled Type 2 diabetic patients.

A unique phenotype-based approach, addressing insulin resistance, has led to the development of a novel blood glucose-lowering molecule that is under active development.
