Inflammation

Inflammation is the body’s biological response to infection or tissue damage and aberrant inflammatory response can lead to tissue damage and destruction. Chronic uncontrolled inflammation can lead to diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, atherosclerosis, inflammatory bowel disease.

PLSL is actively screening for small molecules, herbal and natural products that can modulate the expression of cytokine(s) and thus block inflammatory response. The goal is to develop drugs to treat rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, atherosclerosis, and ulcerative colitis.
